Provisional Patent

During my freshman year of high school, I had the idea to use the space inside of camera tripods to house a battery. With this additional power source, the average camera battery life more than tripled. Additionally, lighting could now be powered through a short cord connected directly to the tripod, eliminating the need to use standard wall power. In November of 2018, I worked with law firm Buchanan Van Tuinen LLC to see if this idea was already patented. After establishing that there was no prior art, we began product design immediately and filed my first provisional patent (application number 62802735) on February 8, 2019. We are now in the process of converting the provisional patent to a utility patent.
